Blog!!!

January 30, 2006

So, I am getting a lot of hits to this site, but no one is buying the ads. Sure, I love the hits, but what good are they without the cold hard cash flowing into my pockets. Oh I am just joking!!! But seriously, I am changing my prices for the first 5 buyers of ad space.

The first 5 purchasers of my ad space can get a 100x100 pixel square for 50 bucks. That is quite the deal! Click here to buy, buy , buy!

Well, I got my first contact about this site. Yippee. We will see if a new ad gets on the site.

I will add stat counter soon. Until then, tell yourself that this site gets a million hits a day, and tell all your friends about it. And since you are believing it gets a million hits a day, you better buy some ad space before its all gone!!!

In other news, I got a new job, starting tomorrow. WOOOT. I somehow tricked Harley-Davidson into hiring me. Enough about this, over and out!

So, today I sent Alex Tew (http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com) an email asking him to check out my site. I guess he has roughly 900+ emails that he has yet to respond to, so we'll see if he even gets to mine. I do not really know what to expect from him. Either I hope he makes fun of my site, or he likes it and agrees to help out if at all possible. I am going to start putting some advertisements together today so I'll keep everyone posted on how the site is doing.

If you find yourself reading this shoot me an email at jmjoseph@uwm.edu and either make fun of me or wish me good luck. Heck, even buy some pixels from me if you want to.

Well, I just ran my stats and I was surprised to see I got 48 unique hits in under 20 hrs. Sure, Alex Tew gets probably about a million a day, but I'll take 50 hits for my first day counting. I plan to add a link so my stats aren't private, but until they show they'll keep up a steady pace, only I can view them! MUHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!

In all seriousness, thanks for looking at this site, and check back to see how I'm doing in the future.

Alright, back from Vegas and ready to rumble. Trip was ok, lost some cash, no biggie. Now, to the good stuff.

So I saw this jerks* website a week ago and was angry. Ok, I wasn't angry, but I was did think "I wish I had thought of that". Then I thought, "hmmm, maybe I could do that next!". Then I looked around a little and found more people doing it. Not really too many, but a few. What else could I think of after my first two thoughts were already taken.... hmmm... I began to think again, and then said to myself "maybe I could do it bettter tha.....". Before i finished my thought I immediatly stopped and said to myself "alright, this kid sold $1,000,000 in ads on a website that now looks like it would give women, children and pets seizures. Whats better than that? Nothing. Nothing is better than that. The kid has website worth over a million bucks, it may give potential danger to women, children, and animals, and the media is behind him helping his cause. He is a damn genius". With that said, I thought about it, and said "Screw it. Think of a domain name, make a site, and take over the world." Ok, not the world, but you know what i mean. So here I am. I've got www.401khomepage.com and I have come to sell 401,000 pixels at a buck apiece. Think I'll get there? I dont! But it'll be fun to try!

*in no way shape or form does Jordan Joseph think that Alex Tew is a jerk. Jordan Joseph does think that there is a little humor involved in calling him a jerk though. Alright, I think there is more than a little humor in it.

Well, I am back. Figured I was a little vague in the last blog, but to be honest I had nothing else to say. When I made this blog page I was just playing around and had no idea what sort of content was even going to be in this site, so now I can gear it towards my plans plans for the site, instead of my somewhat boring life. Well, im off to Vegas from the 9th-13th, so I will update it again once I am back.

So, this is the first time I have ever put a "web log" on any site I have ever made. To be honest I didnt even know what a "blog" was. I thought it was a little more elaborate. Turns out any knucklehead can have one. How exciting! It is not overly elaborate, but it gets the job done. I'll see if I can get myself to update it at all in the next days/weeks/months.
